San Francisco Police Make Arrest in Unprovoked Attack

A man wanted in connection with a violent assault on an older woman in San Francisco has been charged after being arrested for another alleged crime, according to police. The incident occurred on July 27 in the Fillmore District, where an 81-year-old woman was violently shoved off the sidewalk and into traffic, hitting her head on the roadway.

The victim was immediately rushed to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. San Francisco Police launched an investigation and obtained surveillance footage of the incident, which helped them identify the suspect. The images were distributed among officers, leading to a breakthrough in the case. On July 29, officers from the Northern Station responded to a call about a man carrying an "edged weapon" and detained a suspect. One of the officers recognized the individual from the surveillance footage, and he was subsequently identified as 21-year-old Curtis Dubbels.

Dubbels was taken into custody and transported to San Francisco County Jail, where he faces multiple charges, including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, elder abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia, and more. The arrest provides a significant development in the ongoing investigation and brings hope for justice for the victim.
